UPDATE - 1ST Tournament in 2025 - Duntroon Highlands Golf

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our 100 participants, 30 sponsors, 21 companies/individuals that donated to our auction/raffle and our 4 volunteers. To all of our donations and individuals that came out to support us for the day. A HUGE shout out to Captured by Kirsten for donating her time and capturing the day.

Without you this day would not have been possible.

Dad was a man who lived every day for his family and his community, and this event was a reflection of that spirit. With your generosity, we have taken an important step toward our goal of raising $100,000 to help create a private ICU room in the new Collingwood hospital—a space that will give families comfort, privacy, and peace when they need it most.

On September 12th, with the help of our community, friends and family we raised $36,061 !

We are deeply grateful for your commitment, and we look forward to building on this success together. Thank you for believing in this vision and for helping us carry Dad’s legacy forward in such a meaningful way.

Details on our 2026 tournament will be coming soon.

Join us for a day of Swings, Smiles, and Family

We are thrilled to invite you to our SECOND annual Fairway to Families First Golf and Pickleball Tournament, held in memory of Kevin Pearce. Our objective is to raise $100,000 for a private ICU room at the new Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, with plans to host five tournaments over the next five years to achieve this goal. This esteemed event will bring together local businesses, community leaders, and enthusiastic participants for a day focused on supporting our hospital and make significant donation to our community.

About Kevin Pearce (Dad)

Kevin Pearce (Dad) was a devoted family man and a dedicated Metropolitan Toronto Police Officer for 33 years, serving in various roles including uniformed patrol, plain clothes, and specialized divisions such as fraud and homicide. His bravery and lifesaving efforts earned him numerous accolades throughout his career. For over 25 years, he was an active committee member of the Children's Wish Foundation, embodying the motto "family first," which extended beyond his immediate family to encompass his community and all who knew him. After retiring at the age of 52, Kevin looked forward to spending more time with his family and indulging in his passion for golf.

Fairway to Families First was established by his wife Debbie, son Mike, daughter Kristin, and son-in-law Fraser, as a tribute to Kevin's legacy. We believe that honouring his memory through the donation of this vital unit for our community is a fitting tribute to a true hero.

Every Dollar Counts! Your sponsor, participation and/or donation will directly contribute to us reaching $100,000 for our community.

South Georgian Bay is home to more than 74,000 permanent residents and 3.5 million visitors annually.

Tomorrow is Built Today:

Our population is growing at an unprecedented rate, and the needs of our community are evolving. Bringing a new hospital to life requires community support. While the provincial government funds up to 90% of hospital construction costs, the remaining 10%, along with 100% of medical equipment and furnishings, must be funded locally. Fairway to Families First in memory of Kevin Pearce will be donating a private patient ICU room.

The Hospital of Tomorrow Will Feature:

  • 132 Private Patient Rooms – Designed for enhanced privacy, comfort, and improved infection prevention and control.
  • New Inpatient Rehabilitation Program – Providing intensive, short-term, non-specialized rehabilitation for patients with diverse medical needs.
  • Oncology Satellite Site – Operating under the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Program to bring specialized cancer care closer to home.
  • Expanded Specialty Clinics – Including new pain management and heart function clinics to address a broader range of patient needs.
  • Enhanced Diagnostic and Surgical Services – Increased capacity for diagnostic imaging and operating rooms to support more timely care.
  • Interprofessional Education & Innovation Centre – Featuring high-fidelity simulation labs with cutting-edge technology to advance healthcare training and collaboration.
